client amalgamating 3 separate companies into a single
IT site:

schedule and daily problem management, 60% of time
on site.
- Maintained
existing applications and links to parent company
and introduced new applications including a WW
exchange mail implementation.

- Designed,
developed, tested and delivered a mail management software
tool
to aid IBM in managing 140,000 users mail files on 140+
mail servers across 41 countries in Europe, the Middle
East and Africa (EMEA):
- 2-year
time frame, delivered on schedule, Staged implementation
over 2 month period, after an extensive 4-month
prototype and trial period.
- Managed
teams in 41 countries for local language content
implementation, plus local team of 3-5 engineers
developing and testing the tool set.
- Design
and specify tool set, scope and specify tool parameters,
monitored progress and aided in testing and evaluation.
- Internal
project, no budgetary requirement, but had to account
for team time, materials, support and delivery.
The project was delivered with an accepted cost
of US$150Ko Projected saving per annum using tool
set, user reduction on mail space 25Mb. annual
saving of US$52M for EMEA alone.
- Required
close links with user groups, support and delivery
organisation's, development and management team,
regularly reporting to senior EMEA managers.
